Tekvin və ya Yaradılış — Tanax və Əhdi-Ətiqin ilk beş kitabını formalaşdıran Tövratın birinci kitabı. Ümumi olaraq 50 bölümdən ibarətdir.

Kitabın adı Qərb dillərinə adı Yunancada "yaradılış, doğuş" mənasında olan Genesis sözündən keçmişdir.^[1] Yəhudi ənənəsində isə kitabın adı, kitabın ilk kəliməsi olan "ilk, başlanğıc" mənasına gələn Bişvil Reşit ya da qısaca Bereşit sözündən yaranmışdır.

Dünyanın yaradılışını, Adəm ilə Həvvanı, cənnətdən qovulmanı, Habil və Qabili, Nuh Tûfânını, Babil qülləsini və İbrahim, İshaq, Yaqub və Yusif peyğəmbərlərin hekayələrini anladır.
